Micole Amalu grew up immersed in stories of the saints and with the Catholic Church as a second home. After continuous involvement in parish ministries, a discernment period in a lay consecrated community, and three years of missionary service with FOCUS, she could no longer ignore the need for mental health education and advocacy in the Church. This mission brings together her own struggles with mental illness, an educational background in psychology, and her passion for helping the Church live out Christ’s mission better! She launched the mission on September 15, 2019.
Micole loves coffee, praise & worship music, mountains, reading retold fairy tales and everything by Brene Brown, and traveling with her husband.
